I wrote this in November 2016 after feeling overwhelmingly frustrated at Facebook’s failure to acknowledge their role in the U.S. presidential election. Unfortunately, the things I’ve written here are still quite relevant, as Facebook and social media sites in general have not done much to attempt to combat their overwhelming misinformation problems. I penned this rant a number of years ago after I was involved in an in-office conversation about the Victoria’s Secret fashion show wherein a male colleague high fived another male colleague as a follow-up reaction to a comment about women starving themselves to look like Victoria’s Secret models.
